About Us
A piano shop with a neighborhood soul
Piano Palace NY brings a little old-school music-store magic to Midtown Kingston. Located at 110 Cornell Street, our showroom is a place to explore instruments, ask questions, and enjoy the experience of making music.
Founded by Kingston resident and longtime musician Brian Lee, Piano Palace serves families, students, teachers, and musicians throughout the Hudson Valley. Whether you’re choosing your first piano, returning to music after years away, or searching for an instrument that inspires your next chapter, we’re here to help.
Find a piano that feels right
Choosing a piano is personal. You need to hear its sound, feel its response, and imagine it in your home. We believe that experience should be friendly, informative, and fun.
Our selection includes grand, upright, and digital pianos, with pre-owned instruments from Steinway, Yamaha, Kawai, Baldwin, and other major brands. We’ll help you explore options that fit your space, budget, and musical goals.
We also offer piano rentals, tuning, moving, financing, and trade-ins to support you beyond the purchase.
Meet Brian Lee
Brian brings 32 years of piano and music industry experience to Piano Palace. A 1994 graduate of Oberlin Conservatory’s Electronic and Computer Music program, he has held management positions in piano sales and performed as a pianist and bassist in settings ranging from the Cleveland Orchestra to Starland Ballroom. His performance credits also include the United Nations, Lincoln Center, and MoMA.
As both a musician and a Kingston neighbor, Brian understands the value of having a place nearby where you can try instruments and talk with someone who knows them.
Room for music and community
Our vision extends beyond the showroom. We’re working toward a gathering place where students can share their progress, teachers can connect with families, and local artists can perform and collaborate.
As Piano Palace grows, we look forward to developing recitals, workshops, teacher showcases, artist performances, and other community programming that celebrates the Hudson Valley’s musical life.
